Position: Registered Manager, Domiciliary Care – Birmingham & Solihull

We are in search of a dynamic individual with robust operational leadership skills and a proven track record in care service management. This represents an exciting opportunity for an existing Registered Manager to take the helm of our domiciliary care service across Birmingham & Solihull.

As part of your role, you will be tasked with greatly expanding our operation by onboarding new care packages and extending our hours of service delivery. You will manage the recruitment, induction, and training processes for both our office team and care givers, ensuring staff are kept abreast of current best practice and that their ongoing training requirements are met.

A key responsibility will be ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times, with qualified personnel correctly allocated to meet service needs. You will implement company policy and procedures pertaining to absence management, disciplinary action, capability, and grievance matters. By providing information, guidance, and ongoing supervision, you will empower staff to perform their roles effectively and safely. Regular appraisals will be conducted under your supervision, and staff performance will be monitored.

You will also oversee the resolution of all emergency on-call issues, including directly or indirectly covering calls in cases of care assistant illness or absence. As a representative of our service, you will promote our business, attend external meetings, and contribute to the growth and development of our operation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Liaise with CQC to ensure seamless business operation
  • Deliver compliant care across all partner relationships
  • Manage daily business operations
  • Hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
  • Maintain an excellent track record as a Registered Manager with the CQC
  • Demonstrate a pro-active attitude towards business development
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Local Authorities, GPs, healthcare professionals, and service users’ families
  • Ensure compliance with local authority and ICB contract requirements
  • Oversee staff recruitment and retention
  • Demonstrate experience in growing a Domiciliary branch
  • Exhibit outstanding leadership skills
  • Possess a full driving license, as travel will be required for this role
  • Train the Trainer Qualified a bonus
