We have a great opportunity for a determined Registered Manager to work within our 3 bed home in Whitchurch / Shropshire area.

Salary up to £48,000 per annum

Proposed to Start November 2023

This new venture will give you the opportunity to lead and inspire an enthusiastic and vibrant team. With your guidance the team will ensure that the children living within the home will have the very best care & great role models.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience with young people either paid or voluntary
  • You must have, within the past 5 years spent at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children and worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
  • Working knowledge of childcare and child developed through working directly with children, young people and adults.
  • At least 5 years experience working within Children’s services.
  • A history of “Good” or “Outstanding” track record with Ofsted
  • Strong Leadership and Management skills.
  • Leadership, delegation skills and management of implementing projects.
  • You must have a professional qualification in Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing or Psychological therapies and have at least 3 years experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager with the necessary Level 5 in childrens leadership and management.

As a Registered Manager your main role is to ensure the homes’ policies and procedures are adhered to and the homes resources are managed and used effectively. You will be assisting a team of support workers implementing the statement of purpose and support plans. You will be continually improving the service through regular evaluations and training, as well as regularly working alongside 3rd parties to ensure the children have the best possible support. You will be meeting the needs of children/young people, managing a team, promoting efficient and effective operation of the home and much more. There will be some on-call work with this role also.
