Job Title: Registered Manager

Reports To: Registered Provided

Location: Royal Tunbridge wells

About the Role:

The Registered Manager will be registered with the Care Quality Commission as Registered Manager for Sylvian Care Domiciliary Care Tonbridge & RTW , and work within the Code of Conduct to:

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the line Manager, Care Manager and Business Administration Manager for the service
  • Liaise with the provider ensuring all necessary reports are sent timeously
  • Create and uphold an open, positive, and inclusive management culture
  • Develop and communicate the strategic plans for the service
  • Oversee the implementation of the service’s policies and procedures
  • Evaluation of the service’s goals and quality objectives

The Registered Manager’s responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • To provide leadership and guidance to the Care Manager, Administration Staff, Health Care Assistants, and people management functions of the service
  • To oversee and provide leadership in supporting the Business Administration Manager in marketing the service and selling its services at the agreed prices
  • To maintain the operations of the service at the standard agreed with the Registered Provider, within the financial budget or other parameters set by the Provider
  • Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
  • To respond and appropriately action
  • Recruitment of staff
  • Induct new starters in accordance with the service’s policy
  • Lead, motivate and direct staff
  • Conduct staff supervision and annual staff appraisals for all heads of department and support the Care Manager with Health Care Assistants and Care Coordinators.
  • Develop staff to their full potential ensuring succession planning for the service
  • Ensure multidisciplinary team working is embedded in the service

  • Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training
  • Be registered with the relevant body and work within the Code of Conduct
  • Obtain the relevant qualifications required to work in the role, e.g. management qualification commensurate with the role

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £41,079.00-£46,733.00 per year
