Registered Manager – Care Home

Location: Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire

Are you an experienced and compassionate care professional looking to make a positive impact in the lives of others? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Manager to lead our care home in Whittlesey. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and ensuring the well-being of our residents.


  • Overall management of the care home, including staff supervision, budget management, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure the delivery of person-centered care, promoting a supportive and nurturing environment for residents.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of dedicated care staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents’ needs, develop individual care plans, and review progress to ensure the provision of personalized care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external stakeholders to ensure the holistic well-being of residents.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with residents, families, and staff to address concerns, provide updates, and encourage feedback.
  • Uphold a strong understanding of current best practices in the care sector and apply them to improve service delivery.


  • Registered Manager with a valid qualification in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5, RMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the care sector, preferably in a residential care home.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, including CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support staff members.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage resources efficiently and effectively, including budgets and staffing levels.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals.
  • Flexibility to work on a rotational shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays when required.

Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
