At United Response, we are dedicated to transforming lives and empowering individuals with learning disabilities. We are looking for a Registered Service Manager to join our Jarrow Service and lead a team of support workers and lead senior support workers in supporting 6 people with learning disabilities in a small residential care home based in Jarrow.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading good practice and developing excellence in service, providing management support while supporting people to build community relationships.
  • Managing complex support needs, working with individuals who display challenging behavior, and implementing positive behavior support plans.
  • Managing budgets and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining and enhancing our high standards and building strong working relationships with our customers, regulators, and other important stakeholders.
  • Reporting on and analyzing the service, being able to respond to scrutiny.

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum NVQ level 4 in Social Care Management or equivalent, with at least three years proven experience within social care at a management level.
  • A positive attitude towards issues of learning disability, mental health, and physical disabilities, plus a comprehensive understanding of these issues in practice.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience within Social Care.
  • A driving license is desirable.
