This is a fantastic opportunity to join our hard-working, passionate team at Lincoln House residential/nursing care home in Dereham, our care team really do care about our residents and are dedicated and warm-hearted. Previous leadership and management experience is ideal as well as a caring, compassionate and warm approach.

As the Residential Care Manager, you will be responsible for the residents and staff within the residential care unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will remain professional, ensuring confidentiality is always maintained.
  • The Residential Care Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the unit, including supporting junior staff and providing managerial expertise.
  • Working 40 hours a week, this will include on call support and an expectation of some weekend working, and up to 2 days a week supernumerary.
  • Supporting the General Manager in ensuring that the allocated staffing budgets are maintained.
  • To work closely with the General Manager and Deputy Manager to set standards for the care unit, such as ensuring audits schedules are adhered to etc.
  • Ensure medication is administered correctly and procedures followed.
  • Liaise with staff/admin regarding changes to care plans/paperwork etc.
  • Ensure the safety of goods and equipment in the home is always maintained.
  • Manage and prepare all direct care staff rotas for the care unit, ensuring service needs are always met.
  • Abiding by CQC regulations, which includes reporting any breeches or areas of concern.
  • Work effectively with the General Manager to ensure all KPI’s are achieved across the unit.
  • Ensure that the team maintain a good working relationship.
